Wildly popular manga and anime Shingeki no Kyojin: Attack on Titan, the tale of the last settlements of humans who live in walled cities that frequently come under attack from a race of carnivorous giants, is heading to Nintendo’s handheld this year.
The game was teased in a special sleeve that comes wrapped around the 11th volume of the hit manga series, stating that all will be revealed in the next issue of Bessatsu Shonen magazine, which is due to go on sale on September 9.
Although a web browser-based game, Attack on Titan: Wings of Counterattack, is currently in the beta stages of development, this is the first we have heard of a fully-fledged console outing.
The game is being developed by Spike Chunsoft, makers of titles such as Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity and visual novel-type game Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, as well as being the team that localised big names like Metro: Last Light and Saint’s Row the Third in Japan. The new Attack on Titan game will be the developer’s sixth 3DS title, so you can be sure that it’s in safe hands.
We’ll be sure to bring you more on the title as soon as we can!
